I'm so excited to share this DIY baby nursery with you! This mama, also my sister knew that if it was a boy the nursery would be buffalo plaid. So when she found out in December that it was a boy, she started pinning ideas on Pinterest and shopping for the buffalo plaid print, and it seemed to work out perfectly because it was a 2016 holiday trend. (It also worked out in my favor as I began the planning process of a baby shower.) Now I may be a little bias but it came together perfectly, with the tones of gray, an abundance of buffalo plaid, animal silhouettes, and wooden accents and I get to share all those little details with you.

If you just wanted a quick peak inside the nursery you saw it, but if you want some tips, inspiration, and inside information on how it all came together, keep going! You won't want to miss all the details.

Choosing a crib should be easy... right? Not so much. Mama and Papa wanted something that will last as baby E grows up and for any other kids in the future, so a convertible crib was the way to go. That wasn't the problem, the issue was color choice. You're probably thinking in your head right now that it should have been an easy choice, and to have gone with a black one. Trust me it was an option but going back to the future kids thing, if it was a girl she didn't want the dark black. White and Off White/Creme were options too. But when it came down to it, in the store she found this dark gray one and it justifies the room. As a side note Gray was on the table early on until hesitations about it because of the gray walls. Let me know what you think on the crib color choice!

| rocking + reading |

When your mom is a kindergarten teacher, you figure (and she tells you) that bookshelves will be fully stocked and to READ! READ! READ! In a small room a large bookshelf isn't an option so these open shelves were a space saver. The rocking chair, yet another tone of gray was actually the first baby item the parents-to-be bought, and the best part is that the ottoman opens up for extra storage so that's where all his toys are hiding. Many special moments will happen here.

| changing station |

The biggest DIY project was the changing table. For storage purposes we transformed this once, black and white painted dresser into a mountain top dream. Can you believe those drawers used to be black? With some paint, new knobs, and a changing pad it was transformed into the changing table. To spruce it up the 3 nursery prints (designed by me) were framed and hung.
